This highly accomplished producer, writer, actor and presenter brings a strong element of spirituality to the radio station through her show The Sacred Space, where the show aims to inspire and empower people’s daily lives, to bring serenity where there is chaos, comfort where there is fear and understanding where there is ignorance. On air every Sunday morning from 06h00 to 09h00, Thami brings a deep-seated feel and knowledge of the diversity of the spiritual landscape to her show, which echoes the teachings and knowledge contained in her book.
October 2006 also sees the launch of her first book, ‘My Sacred Space’, to be co-published by Penguin Books and her company Thamzin Publishing. The book is a compilation of her True-Love columns as well as her thoughts, observations experiences and personal philosophies on life.
The Sacred Space, her METRO FM show, aims to inspire and empower people’s daily lives, to bring serenity where there is chaos, comfort where there is fear and understanding where there is ignorance. The show is aligned to what Thami calls her own non – sectarian, non – prescriptive, all embracing spirituality. Above all, The Sacred Space endeavours to bring an awareness of practical spirituality by examining and questioning the way we live our lives, our relationships and choices. Each show will include a prepared reading written by Thami, based on her own questioning amongst and observations other things.
The show also plays music of a spiritual and inspirational nature and will allow the listeners to engage with each other and Thami on topics such as listening to your inner voice, establishing a relationship with God, healing our relationships, overcoming trauma, mediation, knowing yourself and other spiritual forums. This is not Thami’s first time at METRO FM. She has previously worked here as a newsreader, and this reading by no means credits her to the extent that she deserves. Thami is a much needed role player at METRO FM and will leave audiences enlightened at the beginning of their week. With so much to her credit Thami has proven that she has got what it takes to place The Sacred Space on the map.
