Siphokazi January

Siphokazi joined SABC as one of SABC 1’s continuity presenters for about 3 years

Shows: The Late Nite Ride

After which she left SABC 1 and went to Cape Town.  After spending a few years embarking on different projects,   she then pursued her passion more and was given the opportunity to work for TruFM, this was her 1st introduction to the radio industry.

OnTruFM, she started off working on the graveyard shift, after a few months she was promoted to the day time slot which meant she had to move to East London. She was more than happy to take this opportunity as this meant that she could spend more time with her family which had moved back to East London. She spent 4 years at TruFM learning so much about the radio industry and how to engage/converse with her listeners. Everything she knows about radio she learnt at TruFM.

Soon after, she was approached by METRO FM and she was the voice behind The Full Circle. She hosted the week day show on her own between 09:00 – 12:00 where she tackled various social issues and spoke about the things that people are usually scared to talk about in public.

In April 2014, she started a new show with Amon Mokoena on their show called The Great Escape which is week days (Mon-Fri) between 12:00 – 15:00.
