Metro FM New Line-Up

Our revised line-up kicks off on Wednesday the 1st April 2015

We are not pulling an April Fool’s joke,  but we mean business! The line-up presents a few changes and much needed rotation of talent within.  MoFlava, Sammy Sosa, DJ Shimza, Lerato Kganyago, Pearl Modiadie and Mpho Maboi are the new Presenters joining the METRO FM Family!

The changes are as follows:

METRO FM introduces a Power Breakfast Show split into two shows kicking off from 05:00 – 08:00 and 08:00 – 10:00 on weekdays.  This approach is informed by lifestyle demands of our listeners and that we believe these respective shows will cater for all the lifestyle needs of our listeners as they prepare to start their daily routines.  The shows promise to be entertaining, informative and will ease our audiences into the day ahead.  Glen and Unathi will present the first part of our breakfast offering from 05:00 – 08:00, together with newsreader Melanie and sports anchor, Owen.

MoFlava and Sammy Sosa join the METRO FM Family to present the 2nd part of our breakfast show from 08:00   10:00.  We believe that they are a dynamic duo bringing their flair & zest to complement the first part of our breakfast offering.  The Producer of this show will be none other than Thato Mataboge (Mr Thato) who was Bonang’s co-presenter of the Front Row.  The station believes that Thato brings to the show his wealth of experience to this new show as a seasoned producer!

Bonang Matheba will present her own show from 10:00 – 12:00.
Pearl Modiadie will co-present the Great Escape Show with Amon Mokoena and Mpho Maboi joins them as the Sports Anchor of this show at 12:00 – 15:00.

Siphokazi January will present her own show on Saturdays from 01:00 – 05:00 and will be back in studio later on the same day at 22:00 – 01:00 Sunday morning with Marian Lartey & DJ Siyanda.
William Lehong & Lerato Kganyago team up to bring a Saturday midday lifestyle show from 12:00 – 15:00.

METRO FM remains a leading urban commercial radio station through innovative programming and quality sounds (music).  Our strategy is that “don’t fix it when it’s not broken” however it is important to refresh, strengthen and rotate talent to ensure we receive maximum output. We believe that by way of introducing new personalities we will remain relevant and ultimately deliver more on our mandate.

We invite our audiences to tune in on the 1st of April and enjoy what METRO FM has to offer!  Last but certainly not least, we wish all our new presenters the best and have no doubt that they will make a meaningful contribution to ensure that  METRO FM continues dominating the airwaves by being  the number 1 commercial radio station in South Africa.’
