Metro FM Celebrates 30 Years Of Broadcasting

The biggest commercial radio station in South Africa METRO FM celebrated 30 years of excellence in broadcasting in style and glamour.

The Radio Station hosted ‘METRO FM Summerlife Festival’ at the Emmerentia, Johannesburg on Saturday, 24 September 2016. The festival was boasted with a line-up of South Africa’s finest artists. It also offered Metro FM lovers and revelers two stages to indulge at the event.

The Station Manager of Metro FM, Ms Sibongile Mtyali said as the radio station, they happy to see people supporting the Metro FM 30years celebration. “The 30years to the station means at this point and time, we looking back and celebrate success over the years and to introspect in terms of what we need to do to continue remaining relevant and loyal to our listeners,” Station Manager said.

The event that was attended by thousands of Metro FM listeners featured artists such as Kwesta, Mafikizolo, Lira, Liquideep, Fifi Cooper, Skwatta Kamp, Unathi, Sipho’Hotstix’ mabuso, Shimza, Naked DJ, A-Reece, Mo flava; and many more popular Mzantsi artists.
